Acadia

Hello Parents of Troop 66,
 
We are in the planning stages of our big summer High Adventure Trip.  It will be 8 Days in Maine, at Mt. Katahdin and then Acadia National Park. 
 
Committee Member Help: John Machledt
 
Planning Parents: Maureen Decker, Celeste DeAngelis 
 
Attending Parents: Celeste, Maureen, Joe Unfried.  
 
We are looking for more parents to attend.  Please let us know as soon as you can if you are interested in attending.
 
 
PLANNED ACTIVITIES
DAY 1:  Drive and set up Camp.  Camping near the base of Mt. Katahdin
DAY 2: Hiking Mt. Katahdin ( A strenuous Hike up and down the mountain in 1 day.  Roughly 10 hours)
DAY 3: Leave Mt. Katahdin and head to Acadia.  Possible stop at the Gulf Hagas Falls for a dip.  Arrive at Acadia, set camp.
 
DAY4-7:  Attending Scouts will have the opportunity to plan our activities from many choices including: 

·       Ranger led hikes and Ranger talks: Many exceptionally beautiful trails in Acadia
